Christmas Day ski tour to Crow's Peak

Warm enough to grow icles off the front porch over night.

Crystal clear day, fine views of Castle Peak from the Forest Service ridge leading up to Crow's Peak.

View back over Van Norden Meadow, barely frozen.  Diane is down there skiing in the meadow, but too small to see.

Another brilliant light show on Mt. Rose

Hiking along Sage Hen Creek towards Stampede Resevoir

Stampede Reservoir shrunken shore - we saw two Sand Hill Cranes at water's edge just moments before.  A real treat

An active beaver dam along Prosser creek - we saw the builder just moments after I took this photo while having lunch at the creek shore.
