Graeagle and Lakes Basin with Don and Margaret

Then on to hiking in the Lakes Basin - First day was to the Little Bear, Big Bear, Long Lake Loop.  Alpine Lakes around 6,500 feet. The wildflowers were blooming everywhere we looked.

Old mining buildings near the trailhead. We did not go to the museum after the hike in the rustic State Park, but it's probably worth a visit to read about the mining history of this region.

Then down to Graeagle for a well deserved ice cream, where the entire town is still owned by a single person (I'm told). He certainly likes the paint colors because every building in town is painted with the same pallet.
