One Month travel time:

Truckee-> Wild Horse Reservoir State Recreation Area-> Rails to Trails paths all over-> Alturas Lake, Stanley Lake-> Elk Mountain Bike Trail-> Salmon River near Stanley -> Custer and Custer Day -> Cascade Lake -> Lower Redfish Lake, Redfish river-> Lower Middle Fork Salmon River -> Payette River -> Coeur d'Alene ->Hiawatha Trail, MT 


Coeur d'Alene, - > Sand Point, ID -> Priest Lake, ID -> Upper Priest Lake, Priest River -> Syringa Provincial Park  Columbia River -> (good rails to trails riding -> Columbia and Western Railway route -> Slocan Lake -> Valhalla Provincial Park - Slocan River Bike Trail -> Ferry across Kootenay Lake -> Riondel -> Crawford Bay Craft Village -> Fernie 


Crawford Bay Craft Village -> Fernie -> Waterton Lakes Provincial Park - Glacier National Park -> St. Mary Lake -> Augusta and the Cobb Ranch -> Lincoln and the Blackfoot Wild Art -> Big Sky, MT -> Gallatin River, Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir -> Truckee

Do this trip in September - would be much more enjoyable in cooler temperatures
